Laminar Flow Safety Cabinet Class II Series »ASW-UP«

Application

Laminar Flow Safety cabinet for microbiological and biotechnological work. Laminar flow clean air current to protect your product from the harmful effects of air-borne contamination from the surroundings and from contamination arising during the working procedure. Protection for personnel and environment from harmful aerosols and microorganisms liberated during work in the cabinet.
The air quality complies with:

  • ISO 14644-1 Cl. 5
  • the US Federal Standard 209e, Cl. 100
  • GMP recommendations are fulfilled.
  • Protection of personnel during work with microorganisms or weighing, mixing and filling of highly hazardous substances is assured.

Operation Principle

Laminar flow is a smooth unidirectional current of ultra clean filtered air flowing at a constant velocity. This air flows vertically through the whole CLEAN working area and carries all air-borne contamination arising from the work to the air-intake slots at the back and front edges of the table. To protect personnel, air outside the cabinet is drawn into the front slot to form an air barrier which isolates the personnel from the working area and prevents the escape of dangerous substances. All the air is then drawn into the return air duct through a fine filter or filter with activated charcoal by the quietly running radial ventilator and then forced through the HEPA filter. At the top of the recessed viewing panel a part of the clean air current passing through the cabinet is deflected into the room as exhaust air. The amount of exhaust air is equal to the amount of air taken in through the front of the cabinet. The cycle starts again.

  • Air coolers can be mounted on the air intake side.
  • Cartridges with activated charcoal can be installed to adsorb vapours!
  • 100% return air, low energy costs and long filter life.
  • This equipment does not interfere with the laboratory air conditioning.

Quality Specification

Important for the proper function of the laminar flow equipment is the permanent and air-tight seating of the HEPA filter. We achieve this by means of an assembly system which is certified by the state authorities for use in nuclear plants.
Our laminar flow equipment complies with:

  • the Standard ISO 14644-1,
  • the GMP und PIC guidelines
  • and passes all FDA-inspections.

Air-tight seating of the HEPA filter is guaranteed.

Optional extras

  • Housing made of stainless steel 1.4404 (V4A)
  • Adaption to all kinds of power supplies and frequencies
  • Height of working surface (H3) 950 mm possible
  • Electrical sockets and laboratory taps according to your requirements
  • Also as table-top model

Service
